'Linking Scenery' is a sound work based on digital friendship. We, Kurdistan-Scottish lesbian Lana Murdochy and Korean heterosexual Younwon Sohn have a conversation online using the following keywords. The conversation that began in Amsterdam where we shared a studio together carries on till now when we live in Seoul and Edinburgh, respectively. Our stories shared in broken English update the contemporary by connecting the surrounding sceneries. Last updated linking scenery is streamings on summer solstice (06-21-2021) at live streaming project called 'Solar Happy Hour'.
'연결풍경'은 디지털 우정을 기반으로 한 사운드 작업이다. 우리(커디스탄-스코티시 레즈비언 라나 머도키와 한국인 이성애자 손윤원)는 정체성, 미래, 장거리 관계 등 다양한 키워드로 사이버 대화를 나눈다. 2019년까지 함께 쓰던 암스테르담 작업실에서 시작된 대화는 각자 서울과 글라스고에서 머물고 있는 지금까지 계속되고있다. 부러진 언어(Broken English)로 오가는 우리의 이야기는 주변의 풍경을 연결해 동시대를 업데이트한다. 이번 사운드는 6월 21일 하지날, '솔라해피아워'에서 오후 5-7시까지 라이브로 스트리밍되어 송출된다.
